“We would like to welcome you to a brief journey into our ranch and it’s history.”

The Peel family has been involved with horses for over 30 years. Trent farmed with his father for many years and then we started our own farm in 1986 and turned it into an equine ranch in 1991.
We have now grown to a herd of 100 mares and 8 stallions with a good portion being registered Belgians. We have also recently introduced 2 Paint stallions as well as a registered Buckskin Paint quarter horse stallion (new this spring). We have been very pleased the last few years with the colorful colts that we have been producing.
We recently purchased a yearling Friesian cross stallion who will be part of our breeding program next year. We are very excited about the offspring that “Royale” will be siring in the spring of 2008!
We also have a herd of 100 Simmental / Red-angus cross cattle.
Our ranch is located just over an hour west of Brandon, Manitoba and about 1 ¾ hours north of the U.S. border.
Our ranch consists of 2200 acres, mostly native and tame pasture for grazing our mare and cattle herds. We put up 300 acres of tame hay and 100 acres of silage to feed the horses and cows for the winter months.
Trent is currently serving on the Manitoba Equine Ranching Association board.
We have 2 daughters who both help out around the ranch and in the barn after school or whenever needed. They love living on the farm and being surrounded by so many animals.
Herd Health Care
We are always very concerned about herd health. We vaccinate all of our mares and stallions annually for sleeping sickness, tetanus and West Nile. Biannually, they are dewormed and have farrier work done.
Sales
Our foals are ready to leave the farm after September 1st. We sell our foals privately as well as at a few select sales within North America.
We encourage you to come and see the foals in the pasture during the summer with their mothers and sires. We look forward to hearing from you either by phone, fax or e-mail and we’ll try our best to find just the right foal for your specific needs and wants!
